ORIGIN OF OUR ARGAN OIL

Organic argan oil comes from Morocco, a country renowned for its exceptional cultural and historical heritage. The argan tree, or Argania spinosa, is an emblematic tree of this region, where it grows naturally, constituting an essential resource for local populations for generations.

This robust tree, perfectly adapted to the dry and arid climate of southwestern Morocco, thrives in harsh environmental conditions. It plays a crucial role in the preservation of local ecosystems and in the daily lives of the communities that depend on them.

The production of argan oil is based on ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation. Berber women, guardians of this tradition, carry out each step by hand, from harvesting the fruit to extracting the oil. This artisanal process embodies an important part of Moroccan culture and actively contributes to the empowerment of women in these regions.

The argan tree, in addition to its economic and cultural role, is essential for local biodiversity. It provides a habitat for many species, while its wood, leaves and fruits are used by locals and animals. Preserving this tree is of paramount importance to maintain the ecological balance and support local communities.

Our organic Argan oil from Morocco is the result of rigorous selection and artisanal know-how that respects Berber traditions. Coming from a fair trade sector, it is produced by women's cooperatives, ensuring fair and sustainable conditions.

 

Only intact kernels, not ingested by the goats, are used to guarantee a pure, cold-pressed oil with incomparable qualities: a golden texture, a sweet smell and an exceptional richness in active ingredients (fatty acids, vitamin E, carotenoids).

 

This oil is a precious ally to nourish, regenerate and protect skin, hair and nails, while respecting the women who are their guardians.

 

It not only supports local ecosystems, but also the economic empowerment of women in Moroccan cooperatives. Thanks to its unique properties, it embodies a perfect balance between tradition, quality and sustainable development.

TRACEABILITY and ANALYSIS

Organoleptic properties

Appearance : Oily liquid that may be slightly cloudy, a sign of a cold-pressed, untreated virgin oil. When stored in the cold, argan oil may crystallize slightly, forming a cloudiness and small solid particles at the bottom of the bottle, due to its natural fatty acid content. This is normal and does not affect its quality. To dissolve them, simply heat the bottle in a bain-marie.

Color : Shades ranging from light yellow to yellow.

Smell : Parfum caractéristique d’une huile d’argan vierge, non désodorisée et non grillée, avec une note assez douce.

Touch : Greasy sensation. To improve its skin penetration, it is advisable to mix it with lighter oils, such as Kukui, Macadamia or Hazelnut.

Noticed : Some virgin argan oils (from raw and unroasted arganons) may have an unpleasant odor, similar to a fecal note. This is often due to poor selection of arganons, which may be moldy or digested by animals, which affects the visual and olfactory quality of the oil. We therefore scrupulously ensure that the arganons are carefully sorted to guarantee a high quality oil, both cosmetic and olfactory.

Conservation and precautions

To preserve all the qualities of your organic argan oil as a cosmetic ingredient, store it in a cool place, away from light and any source of heat. Be sure to close the bottle tightly after each use to prevent oxidation and extend its shelf life.

In addition, although rare, allergic reactions to argan oil can occur. Particular vigilance is recommended for people allergic to sesame or peanuts, due to a potential risk of cross-allergies.
